Project Description
I am Alex Zapata, a Houston based multidisciplinary artist from Stockton, California. I am passionate where the intersection between art, community, and social justice meet.
Different mediums allow me to depict different messages. I collectively use my insight from both my American and Hispanic heritage to drive the content of my work. Inspired by the strong female figures that impacted my personal life, I focus on creating bold & pride-inspired work using a monochrome pallet. This allows me to showcase my childhood memories, identity, and heritage.
